Joanna DePasquale, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.

Born in Orange, NJ to the late Nickolas and Theresa DePasquale, Joanna has been a lifelong resident of West Orange. She grew up on Main Street with her parents and sister, before settling on McKinley Place.

Following her graduation from West Orange High School, Joanna began working as a Secretary for Chubb Insurance Company which later became Cigna. It was here she retired from as an Executive Assistant and Administrator.

Joanna loved tending to her flower garden and yard. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. With a great love for dogs, she will be deeply missed by her present companion, a golden lab named Chase. Time spent with her sister, Fran, was also deeply cherished, especially their shopping trips.

Joanna is survived by her partner for over 30 years, Antonio Orozco and sister, Frances and her husband John Schulte. She will also be missed by her niece, Leigh Schulte, and nephews Craig and Matthew Schulte, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10:30AM to 12PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Center of Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ or https://cfhh.org/donate/  in Joanna’s name.
